A Rich Variety of Fruits and Vegetables Reduces Lung Cancer Risk

Latest research into lung cancer shows that a diet that contains a rich variety of fruit and vegetables is effective at reducing the risks of developing lung cancer.

In a study by the National Institute of Public Health and the Environment in the Netherlands scientists concluded that the variety in vegetable consumption was inversely associated with lung cancer risk among current smokers.

The more different types of vegetables and fruits a smoker ate the greater the reduction in incidence of cell damage which is a indicator of increased lung cancer risk.
